E Café, the entrepreneurship development cell of Malwa Institute of Technology, POWERED BY NEN is famous across its college campus, particularly known for its outrageous, exhilarating and invigorating enthusiasm during the eWeek extravaganza.

With the help of Dainik Bhaskar and the local administration of Indore – A.I.C.T.S.L., PWD, Indore Collectorate and Traffic Police, e Café had the chance to use the platform of RaahgiriDay, a weekly road event for 5,000 Indore citizens (every Sunday from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM) where there is a temporary closure of a network of streets to cars so that they become exclusively open to people.

The entire team of 40 e Cell members hit the streets on February 15th 2015, at 4:00 AM in the morning and created Street-art Graffiti to promote eWeek 2015, and then recorded public opinions in over 500 localities on “Unemployment, and how to create more Jobs in India”, with their motto, EK VYAPAAR 100 ROZGAAR. The E-Cell also offered temporary tattoos for people participating in eWeek 2015, and organized fun events like tug-of-war and flash surveys.

Waking up so early in the morning in the freezing cold, to paint Graffiti and take surveys sounds very monotonous and tedious, but the zest and enthusiasm of 5,000+ Indore citizens participating with their utmost zeal energizes you to the core.

The highlight of the event were 2 flash mobs organized on the streets, and an on-stage performance where the people went gaga . An appeal was raised to help save the girl child and campaigns were done for The Blind children of Maharishi Blind School, Vijaynagar. The Team also received tie-up Proposals from Sanchi Doodh, Mrityunjal NGO and a Beti bachaao Andolan.

The team received coverage on the local news channel: Bansal News live coverage, and a Times of India article was published about them.
